Bringing up Bébé

We're currently reading "Bringing Up Bébé".  It's a humorous look, from an American mother's perspective, on French parenting.  Brian and I found much of this to be true in England, where we lived for three years.  There is much wisdom in many of the Europeans' approach to child-rearing, and some other notions which go against the grain of my AP parent's heart.Read along and let us know what you think.See More

"Yes, except I would use a buttonhole or blanket stitch.  Alternately, mark the h***, place a piece of braid and couch into place, then cut the h***.  I think it's a good idea to place a piece of fusible web in between the layers…"

An unexpected visitor

Posted on July 23, 2011 at 11:13pm 0 Comments

Trying to find a parking spot in Natick is no picnic on a good day.  But Saturday is just about impossible.  I had traveled to the mall - about 45 minutes from home - with a van full of children, on the hottest day of the year. To get a new power cord for my computer. And I was getting frustrated.
